Lab oriented to generate an experimental space to use and develop new telepresence technologies.

This project is oriented to generate an experimental space to use and develop new telepresence technologies. It works by opening different stations/spaces where it is possible to intervene and communicate remotely through testing tools which allow an interactive communication. This communication may include data exchange, modification of sensorial and environmental conditions, remote control systems or the creation of virtual spaces based on augmented reality.

Moreover, the lab aims to generate a critical approach questioning the spaces where the lab takes place, this is, cultural production spaces and public institutions. From this point of view the lab wants to reflect about concepts such as perception, interface, control, reality, biopolitics and the occupation and intervention in public institutional spaces.

The technological tools used are the software for telecommunication Scènic, and PureData and Arduino’s basic modules.
