La Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) is an innovative university that is rooted in Catalonia and open to the world. It offers people lifelong learning to help them and society advance, while carrying out research into the knowledge society. Its educational model is based on personalisation and accompanying students using e-learning.

The  Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB in the Spanish acronym) is an agglomeration of six public research centres and is located alongside the Hospital del Mar de Barcelona. The PRBB is the product of an initiative launched by the Government of Catalonia, the City Council of Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), which aims to promote research and collaboration between closely related fields.

The Foundation Daniel and Nina Carasso, affiliated with the Fondation de France, is a family foundation headed by Marina Nahmias, daughter of Daniel and Nina Carasso and founder. The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, (FECYT), is a public sector foundation within the Spanish Economic and Competitiveness Ministry. Their mission is to promote science, technology and innovation, promote their integration and approach to society, and also to answer the necessities of the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Business (SECTE).

La Obra Social La Caixa is the set of activities with social character made by La Caixa Bank Foundation.
Its main acting areas are marginalised group’s labour integration, scholarships, cultural and scientific promotion, social cohesion, environmental issues, health support to serious illness, children integration with educational or social problems, active ageing, volunteering, affordable housing and international cooperation. The programme offers scholarships, volunteering opportunities and educational support.

The Generalitat de Catalunya  is the institution under which Catalonia is politically organised. It consists of the Parliament of Catalonia, the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya , the Consell de Garanties Estatutàries, the Síndic de Greuges and the Sindicatura de Comptes.

The Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte (Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports) is responsible for setting out and implementing Government policy on professional training and university education, as well as for promoting, protecting and disseminating Spanish historic heritage, state museums, the arts, books, reading and literary creation, film and audiovisual activity, books and state-owned libraries, and for promoting and disseminating culture in Spanish.

The European Commission represents the interests of the EU as a whole. It proposes new legislation to the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, and it ensures that EU law is correctly applied by member countries.

The Foundation's mission is to promote knowledge, training and research aimed at society as a whole in the social, educational, scientific and cultural areas.

The main sponsorships granted by the Banco Sabadell Foundation focus on supporting institutions, preserving heritage, cooperating with the arts (musical, performing and visual) andenhancing the recognition of outstanding young people in the area of innovation and research.
